Straight thinking for complex energy decisions

Energy's hardest problems don't respect boundaries between technical and commercial.

Neither do I.

I built Seven Six Solutions around a simple observation.

The most expensive mistakes in energy aren't random. They're predictable. They happen at the same place, every time - where technical and commercial thinking fail to meet. Bids won on optimism. Contracts committed without understanding deliverability. Value lost because the wrong people were making the call.

If you've seen that happen - or you're living it right now - you're in the right place.

Most of the expensive problems in energy aren't technical. They aren't commercial either. They happen in the space between the two - where you need the people who understand the risk to be in the room when the decision gets made.

I've spent 27 years in that space. Frontline. Not watching from the side.

Building and leading teams at SPT Group and SLB, with senior account responsibility for BP. Running major pursuits. Sitting across the table from boards and investors on decisions where technical reality and commercial judgement both had to hold. I've seen what happens when they do. And I've seen what it costs when they don't.

Seven Six Solutions exists because that gap doesn't close on its own.

I work with operators, energy services businesses, and investment funds - typically when the stakes are high enough that getting it wrong isn't an option. Not as a large firm with a methodology and a team to deploy. Not as a hire. As a single, senior, independent voice who steps in, moves quickly, speaks plainly, and tells you what you actually need to hear - then steps back out.

If your problem is at the interface of technical and commercial - a project under pressure, a bid that has to land, an investment decision that needs to hold up to scrutiny - that's exactly where I work.

The problem probably isn't unsolvable. Solving it just requires a willingness to change.

If that sounds like where you are, let's talk.

Where do you need to go?

Seven Six works across two distinct areas. Both grounded in the same principle - that technical credibility and commercial judgement have to operate together to deliver real outcomes.
